Join Alan Lawrence for a mentoring workshop exploring the Oregon Coast.

What's a mentoring workshop? I will be limiting this workshop to only 6 photographers so that each person will get lots of one-on-one time. Together, we will explore the Oregon Coast based out of Canon Beach. During the good light, we'll be out shooting. When the light's not so good, there will be portfolio reviews, one-on-one mentoring and group post-processing workshops.

Accommodations will not be provided. There are lots of choices in Canon Beach. I've reserved a block of rooms at the Surf Sand Inn on Canon Beach. (503) 965-6366

Together, we will explore Haystack Rocks at sunrise and sunset, Wreck of Peter Iredale, Sunset Beach, Ecola State Park, Tillamook Head and much more. We'll shoot boats and reflections on Nehalem Bay, explore the Pacific Coast Biway, the old piers and weathered warehouses of Garibladi, Sunrise at Hug Point and much more.

We'll use a variety of filters to master perfect exposures & ND filters for long exposures.

When we're not shooting, we'll learn how to perfect our images in post-production including deep focus stacking, Lightroom tips and tricks, Photoshop and other plugins such as NIK Software to refine your photographs to meet your vision.

I will be staying at Surfsand Inn in Canon Beach.  Please call early to make your reservation at (503) 436-2274.  You are welcome to stay anywhere you like in or near Cannon Beach.   You will want 3 nights starting Thursday, October 11, 2018.
